Moderator Note:
1. The availability of EasyMesh in AP Mode may vary by region even for the same model. Please check your local website for more information.
2. The above list might not include all models and hardware versions. It is recommended to keep watching the firmware releases for your router, as all the newly supported features will be listed in the patch notes if/when it is added to your version.
User Scenarios:
Some users would prefer to, or are limited by their devices to, have their main modem router acting as the gateway and DHCP server in the network, which requires using the TP-Link Wi-Fi router in AP (Access Point) Mode to avoid the double-NAT issue. However, they also wish to utilize the EasyMesh feature of the TP-Link Wi-Fi router to create a mesh network with other EasyMesh routers or extenders.
The topology is roughly as follows (Topo 1):
Or as this one (Topo 2):
Note: In this topo, both the EasyMesh Wi-Fi router and the satellite router/extender must support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.
You may also connect the EasyMesh Wi-Fi routers like below, it will also work (Topo 3):
Note: In this topo, the EasyMesh Wi-Fi router and the satellite router/extender must also support EasyMesh Ethernet Backhaul.

Thank you for your answer :)
By the way, I have to check it manually on the US page anyway because the router/tether app automatically checks the tp-link page connected to your country's IP address. Unfortunately, the tp-link site in Poland is always outdated with firmware. The last firmware for BE550 is from April...
Because of that, many people return a lot of TP link routers because they don't know there is new firmware for the device that can work better and more stable.

Thank you very much for your feedback.
I will provide this feedback to the Poland website admins and hope they publish the new firmware promptly.
Additionally, when a TP-Link device is connected to the TP-Link cloud, it can automatically detect new firmware. You can also check for updates manually via the device's web interface or the Tether app. Each network device has a specific model code that indicates its region, and the firmware and software versions may include region-specific information. Features or settings can vary by region, and cloud services use this model code to identify the device's region, rather than relying on your IP address.

Hi there,
I need to setup my environment as Topo 3. I have two Archer C80 connected to my main modem provided by ISP. I couldn't find any option to enable or setup EasyMesh.
Could you please guide me on that?
Edit: I've updated the firmware to the latest manually and now I can see the EasyMesh option. Now the problem I have is I can't see the Satellite Router in the Main Router's page. My topology is as below. Should I connect it first with an ethernet cable directly to the main router instead of modem?
Edit 2: I'm a bit in hurry. I've reset the satellite router and added it by wireless connection. Then I plugged the ethernet cable and it switched to ethernet backhaul automatically. It worked like a charm.
Thanks.

If there are specific issues with the current firmware and you would like to try new beta firmware, I would recommend discussing it with the engineering via email. I haven't received an advanced notice that there is a new public beta for trial.
