Hi everyone,

I’m currently using two main WiFi networks (let’s call them 2.4G and 5G), and I was looking for a dual-band extender to extend both networks simultaneously with a single device.

The setup seemed like it would meet my needs, but after finishing, it looks like I ended up with two extended networks (EXT) that are both extending just one of the original networks.

Does this make sense, or could there be a misconfiguration on my end?

Thanks for any advice!

Hi,

Are the two Wi-Fi networks "2.4G" and "5G" two truly separate networks or are they just two Wi-Fi radios connecting to the same network? (like most of the dual-band routers designed for home use work)

In case it was the former, then the RE650 would not work for you. These dual-band range extenders are not like two separate range extenders inside one device.
