Model: RE550
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 1.0.20

Good morning,

I have a strange problem with the RE550 device.

I have a network with two RE550s configured as AP and one RE220 configured as AP.

The modem is an MR600.

It seems that the RE550 is only able to receive 20 clients on the 2.4 GHz band, I have not found what the maximum number of connected users is. Is this the limit of the AP or have I made some mistake? DHCP is managed by the MR600 and limited to 99 clients (the complete network is around 40) while in the APs I left DHCP on auto and automatic IP address assignment.

Thanks in advance

  @RobertoMario

If your LAN is (for example) within 192.168.1.0/24 subnet for stability and easier management I would do the following:

Set both REs that are in AP mode with a static IPs outside MR600 DHCP server range.

I.e. if MR600 DHCP range in 192.168.1.100 - 192.168.1.199 I would set range extenders with IPs 192.168.1.254 and 192.168.1.253.

This way you'll always know how to reach their WebGUI if you want to.

I would also set the REs DHCP server to off instead of auto.

Aside from all these changes I can't say if there's any limitation for wireless clients number on RE550 or RE220 and if there is, what is it.
