Hi,

I have 5 Deco P9s in AP mode mesh.

 

Modem -> Router -> AP Main P9  >> Wifi >> 4x satellite Deco P9 Wifi + PLC 

 

When I connect satellite P9s together with ethernet all is okay.

 

If I add ethernet only between the Main and a satellite P9 (No switch) All decos show a Solid red light.

Modem -> Router -> AP Main P9  >> Ethernet >>  4x satellite Deco P9 Wifi + PLC 

 

Unplug the ethernet and all returns to normal.

 

Main deco is on a separate circuit to the satellite Decos. Only the main Deco gives full speed (300Mbit) . All satellites are 30 - 50% speed at best (100-150Mbit)

 

Any suggestions?

Are you able to constantly reproduce this issue?

Since each Deco P9 works the same in AP mode, could you please refer to this link to set a different Deco P9 as the main Deco, then switch their physical location to see whether the same issue existed:

I swapped the main unit over and reconnected the ethernet main>>Satellite. All was good for about 3 minutes then all the Decos started flashing blue LEDs and the whole network reset and needed to be rebuilt from scratch.

 

I rebuilt the mesh with a different main unit and a single satellite in AP mode. This worked in Wifi & PLC mode but again when ethernet was connected between the two, both units went to permanent red LED and lost internet connecrion.

 

In summary. Different hardware, reconfigured from hard reset I still get the same issue.
