Model: Archer AX6000
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.13 build 20230906 ref.52177(5553)

I am a little confused. I have 2.5 Gbs ineter service enabled ( Ziply) .  If I directly hardline from my ONT into my desktop, I get roughly 1.8 - 2.0 GBps. Which is great.

However when I hardline into my Ax6000 (2.5 GBps WAN)  I am seeing, for the shared ports, 1000 MBps full duplex, which then translastes to only 1Gig speeds for all my devices connected to this router.

Is it not possible to get more the 1Gig per port?  Did I purchase the wrong router?

I have toggled through QoS.  I have tried forcing settings to 2500 Mbps...with some results.  The router seems to be able to read up to 1432 Mbps, even then not ideal.

I could use a little help to force this new router to be more than what it is?

Or should I return it for something else?

Hi, thanks for posting question on our community.

Archer AX6000 has 1× 2.5 Gbps WAN Port and 8× Gigabit LAN Ports. Although you can get about 2Gbps speed on the PC from the ONT directly, the speed is no more than 1Gps when your PC connected to any Gigabit LAN port.

As for the the wireless internet speed, you may connect your PC to the 5Ghz wi-fi band. Then check and compare the internet speed (using speedtest.net )and link speed.

How to check the associated/link speed on a wireless client

Hi, yes,  WiFi7 series products may meet your need if you want higher speed performance.
