Switch router between repeater & emitor mode
Switch router between repeater & emitor mode
How can I switch back and forth my ax63 router from repeater to main router mode?
We have 2 routers, AX55 main router and ax63 repeater mode in 2 different buildings, each one separately linked to Starlink mesh through Ethernet cable.
The reason is Starlink can connect only one router at a time, so when the main router is on, the repeater can function. I would like to also be able to use the Ax63 as main router when the AX55 is off.
How can I result switch mode (router/repeater). For the moment wifi works only when the AX55 is on, only one network appear. The ax63 does not appear as a second or independant network to connect to.

Of course there's a difference between two routers in Easymesh and two routers (main router and and router in AP mode).
In first case the SSID is the same for the two devices and they emitting one wireless network - that's the purpose of a mesh network.
In second case every router emits a different wireless network (even with the same SSID).
If both routers are in Easymesh the only way to use AX58 for a main router is to reset to factory defaults and configure as such.
If you want to join AX58 back to Easymesh of AX55 you have to reset AX58 to factory defaults and add to the AX55 Easymesh.
Setting AX58 in AP mode is quite different than setting AX58 in Easymesh. I alredy posted AP mode configuration guide.
Here's how to add AX58 in Easymesh to AX55.
Here's a guide for building Easymesh with an ethernet backhaul (if you use ethernet connection between AX55 and AX58).
Note: To use AX58 in an ethernet backhaul Easymesh it has to be HW v2 - you can check that on its bottom sticker.

If your question is how to switch from router mode to access point mode and vice versa, search for Operation mode menu in the router's web management page.
It's in Advanced-->Operation Mode or Advanced-->System Tools-->Operation Mode.

Thank you @terziyski
It's not that.
When I access the admin, I can't change the parameter of the repeater router, only the main router appears, although the Ax58 repeater is on.
How to switch back and forth between repeater router mode of the main router (only the wifi of the main router Ax55 appears) and having a second wireless router network (a second wifi from Ax58 also connected to Starlink?

I got confused, what are these devices AX63 and AX58 ? The correct router model can be seen on its bottom sticker.
Gove some more details about your network topology and what you want to achieve.

The repeater is just Ax58, not Ax63. The rest of the description/question remains the same.

If I understood correctly from your description I would assume that by repeater mode you mean access point mode.
There's no way to automatically switch between router mode and access point mode - this has to be done manually.
So if AX55 is off you have to switch manually AX58 to router mode and re-cable the Starlink, so you can use AX58 as a main router.

Thank you @terziyski
This is precisely what I wish to do.
The AX58 wifi network does not appear anymore on my phone since it is set up as a repeater (or in access point mode, is maybe the correct term (?).
So when Ax55 is off and Ax58 turned on, there is not internet connexion to connect to (even if AX58 gets the internet signal from Starlink).
So my question is how to easily switch back the ax58 to main router when the ax55 is off? And how to easily switch it back to access point when ax55 is on?

Even i access point (AP) mode the device is emitting its wireless signal unless disabled by device web management interface.
How to switch between router mode and AP mode I've already pointed in my first post - there's no easier way to do this.
When AX55 is off, you probably don't have internet access with AX58 in AP mode, becasue you need to switch AX58 in router mode.
Here's the difference between Router mode and AP mode.

I have tried what you said, but AX58 wifi does not appear anymore on my phone since in AP mode, even when Ax55 is turned on, so can not switch to router mode.

What are your AX58 wireless setting (cover/delete your passwords):
Is AX58 connected to AX55 in any way - decribe the network connections between different devices.
Are you in the AX58 wireless coverage so you could see its wireless SSID ?

Ok, here is the deal. I connect access my Ax58 wireless setting as there is not wifi access to Ax58. Actually I connected my 2 routers in easymesh mode (not AP mode) by a hardware procedure, my AX58 being the satellite router. Since then, it has disappeared as a wifi signal
Not sure if satellite Easymesh is the same as AP or wifi extender or repeater or what is different?
So how to easily switch off and on the easymesh then when I want use Ax58 as main router?
Secondly, is it the same to set up AX58 in AP mode or as a satellite Easymesh to Ax55? Because then, I can reconnect easymesh, and set up Ax68 in AP mode and then switching back and forth to main router when required, this seems quite straightforward through to link browser management page as you recommended.
Thanks for your support.
