Model: Deco X50 - PoE
Hardware Version: V20
Firmware Version: 1.2.3

Just bought and configured a Deco x50-POE (3 units) - getting fantastic speeds - SUPERB - thank you TP-Link!

But when I plug-in my new gigabit ethernet switch (TP-LINK TL-SG108S unmanaged) to the main Deco unit (as I have lots of other wired tech) - the Deco crashes (light turns red).

The only articles I could find on attaching a switch were for the ethernet backhaul, which I've done (IPTV on), but still crashes the Deco.

Question: How do you add an unmanaged ethernet switch to the Deco main unit?  What am I doing wrong?

  @WMullet

Hi, welcome to the community.

Can I have a picture of your network layout with the switch TL-SG108S?

Would the same issue happen again if the switch is connected to one of the satellite Deco X50-POE?

Do you use a POE switch to provide power for Deco X50-POE units?

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.
