Email and banking updates a bit slow in arriving on android phones when using wifi on MR600

Hi,
When I use my android phone using wifi it is fine for searching on a browser but I have an issue regarding emails and on line banking. The emails and banking updates are slow in arriving. I can open the gmail app manually to check and drag down the screen to update. If I use 4G on the phone they are there straight away, or if I go to to another location with a different location with another router, emails and banking arrive instantly. Just wondering if there is something that I haven't set up right.
