Model: Archer C7
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.2.1 Build 20220715 rel.19099(4341)

I am running the Archer C7 with the latest firmware.

My LAN address is 10.0.0.1 with mask 255.192.0.0

When I try to make any virtual server, the NAT forward refuses to work, and I see this in the System Log:

The host ip address is not in the lan subnet [10.10.0.3]

Note that this is false! The 10.10.10.3 address falls in the 10.0.0.1 / 255.192.0.0 subnet.

Why can I not forward a port to a machine at 10.10.0.3 address?

  @Mazarax

While I would agree that the message is false, is there any particular reason for using this subnet mask: 255.192.0.0 ?

With this subnet mask the usable hosts number is 4 194 302. C7 is a home router device with limited HW resources, which can serve about 50 client devices.

Using 24 bit subnet mask (i.e. 255.255.255.0) will give you the most realistic behavior for such type of device.
