TL-WA901ND not detecting 5ghz network from Virgin Hub 3

I have a Virgin Hub 3 that is sending out both 2.4ghz and 5ghz networks. I'd like to use my TL-WA901ND to repeat the 5ghz signal so I can use the faster speeds upstairs, but the TP-link is only able to detect the 2.4ghz network.
I've tried setting the Virgin Hub to a manual channel (44) and the channel width to 20/40/80mhz, but the TP-link still can't detect it.
Can anyone advise?

Hello @Charlie-1234
TL-WA901ND is a single band Access Point which only supports 2.4Ghz Wi-Fi band , here is the spec for more information.
If you wish to extend 5Ghz band, model TL-WA1201 is dual-band AP which has range extender mode, or please take a look at dual-band range extender here.
