Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version: V2
Firmware Version: 1.5.0 0.9.1

Hi, hoping someone clever can help with a thorny problem I have.

as can be seen I'm using my Archer MR600 with an O2 network here in the uk. I have 1 or 2 problems that may be related, though I'm not sure.

1. I can't access some web applications at work via this router/carrier but, when using EE as a hotspot, I have no problems accessing the same.

2. Again, certain apps/sites are incredibly slow or appear to drop connection. An example, using Office 365 online opening applets is frustratingly slow. Also, we were trying to add a Gmail account to Outlook which involves authorising the Windows account to access the Gmail account. At this point it continually failed. However, as soon as I swapped to my EE hotspot, it worked perfectly.

I never had this problem using Vodafone with a HUAWEI router.

can anyone tell me what's going on and how I fix it please?

thanks in advance,

Jimguk

This may sound like a dumb question for you. but: On your MR600, do you have QoS enabled?

@M585583 not dumb at all. No, I have NAT forwarding enabled and, apparently, you can't have both enabled.

I was wondering if I should disable that as well.

Hi, thank you very much for the feedback.

Since you mentioned the EE hotspot has no such issue, could you please try to swap the O2 and EE SIM cards? So using EE SIM card in the MR600, then check if it works fine.

@Sunshine I meant to mention. I have now swapped to SMARTY and I do appear to be able to reach all the sites I previously couldn't.

however, I now have the connection drop and reconnect frequently which isn't a problem for most of my uses (surfing and streaming) but is bad for work as their vpn is quite touchy about it.

the other thing is, I only get 3G but a very fast 3G (10-12mb)   So I'm ok with it for now but the search continues for a setup that satisfies my needs.

Hi,thank you very much for the reply.

If you are using 4G preferred network mode but only 3G works, please try to change the network mode from 4G Preferred to 4G only to see if it will work on 4G.

If there is any further issue, please provide screenshot of Advanced->Status page, Advanced->Network->Internet page.

By the way, in order to check if it is related to the carrier or base station, you could also insert the SMARTY SIM card into another 4G device or smart phone to see if it will work on 4G and be stable at the same location.
