WR841N becomes inaccessible via webpage and stops emailing logs

Region : UnitedKingdom

Model : TL-WR841N

Hardware Version : V7

Firmware Version : 3.13.9 Build 120201 Rel.54965n

ISP : Linpop

I have had my WR841N for about a year, supplied to me by my WISP. I like the router in terms of facilities but it seems to have one really annoying problem.

The router becomes inaccessible via the webpage after a random period of several days. I have at times associated the issue with occasional loss of radio broadband service but it is not always so. To try and further localise the problem I set the router up to send emails of the log to me every two hours from 17/04/2013 but today for the second time the emails stopped arriving after the 02:29 message and the router is inaccessible again. The router previously locked up with loss of broadband service on 26/04/2013 sometime after emailing a log at 02:41 on that day but had been running without issue from a cold restart at 12:25 as soon as I noticed loss of service.
Today I have not lost broadband service and so even though I am no longer receiving an emailed log or able to access the router via its webpage I am leaving well alone for the present.
Some months ago when I originally noticed the web access issue I downloaded and installed the latest firmware TL-WR841N-v7-120201 and I note that there have been no further firmware releases for the v7 model.

My broadband service is delivered via radio link from a local transmitter mast and is reliable with typical download speed of 20-30Mbps and 30-40Mbps upload, seldom if ever affected by weather so I now feel the problem is inherent in the router rather then being the result of some issue affecting broadband service which has been solid since 26/04/2013

Without the log I have no way of knowing what was happening when the router became inaccessible but I attach the last 24 hours of received log below.

Log says nothing. Maybe you can try third party software...or other router...for test...

I appreciate that the log says nothing except that the last email of the log occurred on May 6th at 02:29. The Broadband WAN IP address did not change since the system was started at 12:29 on 26/04/2013 but I have wondered at the increasing frequency of DHCP requests by the router. The DHCP requests began on May 1st at 12:37 but IP successfully obtained as indicated on May 5th at 06:37 which seems to be somewhat erratic but I suspect is down to the WISP lease time being longer than that expected by the router although I can't explain why. I have deliberately left the router running without interference as it still has the same valid dynamic WAN IP which I believe to be the subject of address reservation protocol as far as my WISP is concerned. In similar circumstances in the past I have had to cold boot the router and found the same WAN IP assigned and no change. The dynamic WAN IP has only ever changed following network outages and WISP technical network rearrangement.
As far as I can tell the router is still performing basically as it should, I have three/four windows PCs and two linux PCs wired in, I do not routinely use the wireless LAN at all, on my wired LAN, all of which have static IP addresses to avoid LAN problems when there is a WAN outage (anything dynamic suddenly acquiring 169.254.xxx.xxx LAN IPs otherwise which become a pain to change back to 10.10.10.xxx addresses).
I have port forwarding in place as one of my linux PCs is a telephone server and that continues to work as expected so the only issues I have are the ones reported i.e. I cannot access the router via the webpage and it doesn't send logs when it is inaccessible in this way.

I fail to see how third party software will help, the problem is with the router firmware as far as I can see and so what is required is input from TP-LINK with a fix that prevents the router from becoming inaccessible or failing to email logs.
I have other routers but none of those are TP-LINK or 300Mbps. I fail to see how substituting the router will resolve the issues with the one I am using. I am tempted to buy another router but the lack of technical input from anyone at TP-LINK would I'm afraid steer me to another company with more interest in its own products than appears to be displayed in this place.
