Solution Disable OneMesh Hidden SSID on the 3G/4G modem
Hello everyone,
Some customers may report their Onemesh routers are emitting a hidden network, which makes them confused and nervous as they cannot turn it off manually on the router web GUI.
The hidden wireless network is used to build up the mesh wireless network system, and it cannot be detected by the common wireless devices. You can refer to this article for more details:
https://community.tp-link.com/en/home/stories/detail/728
Just like the existing Deco mesh package products, the specific hidden network with high-intensity random password can guarantee the security of the network. So no worries.
However, if you still want to disable the Onemesh hidden network on the router, we here provide a beta firmware for the MR600 V1 and MR200 V4/V5, customers can install this firmware on your device, then disable the Onemesh network manually via the web GUI.

For other models, we will add this feature in the near future. This will take some time, however, we hope you could wait patiently.
Note: We as always strongly recommend our customer upgrade their TP-Link devices to the latest official firmware, you can try the beta firmware posted by our TP-Link Admins/Officials unless the official firmware doesn't resolve the issue you experience.
Note:
1. Please check the device label to verify the country code and hardware version of your device first, and choose the correct file to download and install.
2. Be sure you have read the Terms and Conditions for TP-Link Beta Firmware before proceeding!

Hi There
So ive been trying unsuccessfully to upgrade the firmware and turn of the one mesh setting
However I tried all the links to beta and official firmware I can find none seem to work
I keep getting: Error code: 4503
Perhaps the issue is that my HW is: Archer MR600(ZA-N) V2.0
When Going to the oficial download page for my country I get the following:
Notice there is only one (ZA-N) the rest are (EU)
However the ZA_N version available is the one that shipped with my router
Where can I get the ZA-N supported firmware that has the ability to turn off one mesh ?
as the ones supplied on the site don't seem to work

Hi, the ZA-N version is a customized version for Nology in South Africa, it is not allowed to install EU version firmware, and we are unable to modify the firmware without their permission
Besides, there is no beta firmware with OneMesh switch for ZA-N version, it is recommended to contact your ISP.

@Kevin_Z Had to register in this forum to ask you WHY YOU ARE NOT ADDING THE OPTION TO TURN THIS OFF to public firmware release?!!
Most of the time I turn off my wifi and use wired connection for my PC, and your device don't care about it even when the user wants to turn off WIFI! it still send hidden wifi connection!! I don't want to void risk it and also void my device warranty and install your BETA firmwares, so still waiting almost for 1 year! 2 new firmware version releases and still both of them DON'T have the option to disable one mesh! even the latest one 1.7.0 0.9.1 Build 220826 for mr600 still don't have this option!
How many times people should ask you?
I don't want to have my device constantly bombarded with dual 2.4GHz and 5GHz wireless frequencies in my room 24/7, it's bad for security, bad for enery saving, bad for health and above all, against my will! and you force your users to accept it without any way to turn it off without voiding warranty by using beta firmwares!
Please ask your firmware dev team to add the function to their latest main firmware release so I could update it safely.

@Sys22ManagR Really, tplink company has one of the weakest support for updating and fixing existing bugs, and after 2 years, it still hasn't been able to close this hidden ssid! And it does not add any functionality

@Sys22ManagR I fully support you. I have MR600 v2 and use it as a 4g router, Wi-Fi is always disabled.
I was waiting for a new stable version of the firmware (not beta), hoping that this option would appear there.
After updating to the latest version (1.7.0 0.9.1 Build 220826), I did not find the option to disable OneMesh !
