I recently bought a vr2100 as we are still on a dsl line. The router connects fine to the Internet and my devices which use WiFi all work fine with the router. However when I connect an ethernet cable or lan cable to the bag of the device my WiFi dissapears and tether app says there is an unknown device in the area?

Any help would be greatly appreciated

Hi,

Did the wireless LED on the front of the modem turn off as well?

Are you able to log into the web UI via Ethernet connection and check whether the wireless radio is still enabled or not?

By the way, how did you restore the wireless connection, unplugging the Ethernet cable, or restarting the modem?

And were you able to reproduce the same issue all the time?
