Deco X50 Poor wifi but excellent with an ethernet cable

I have a 3 deco system. When I insert an ehernet cable from my computer i get maximum speeds of 500. when i take it out the wifi speed drops to 170 even though i am right beside the deco. This is the case for all three. I think this is a big drop
