HI folks. Would appreciate any advice. I use the Three network in Ireland for SIM broadband due to my rural location. I recently upgraded to 4G/LTE SIM plan but their Hwawei router gave a poor signal (<1 mbs download at times). I borrowed a friend's TP LInk MR6400  the signal was better (3-7 mbs download - still brutal, I know!). So, I went and bought a new router - Archer MR600. Same location in room, signal only gives 0.6-1.1 mbs download. When I slip out the SIM  card and plug back in to the MR6400, it's back up at 5-7mbs download speed. I've repeated this a few times with consistent results. I followed all the installation instructions, rebooted and reset the MR600 several times, but still no joy. Feel like I'm missing some small step somewhere - any ideas/solutions? FIrmware is up to date etc.  Many thanks.

@ShamieDoc

Good day,

Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Have you checked the 4G LTE band is the same on the TL-MR6400 and Archer MR600?

And if you put the SIM card into the smartphone, how much speed you could get, and which bands did you use?

By the way, have you checked with Three to see which CA band aggregation would be best to get the better speed since we had a beta firmware which could manually choose the LTE bands;

Thanks a lot.

@ShamieDoc

THanks for your response. Band 1 on the M6400, Band 8 on the MR600. Band choice seems automatic rather something I can change - my router must not have had the new beta firmware installed. Awaiting THree's response to CA band aggregation query. It is a 4G/ LTE signal that is set as preference. Local mast is <1km away! I presumed as it's a UK/Ireland router that it should be compatible automatically?

All of these similar issues with MR600. Is there anyone from TP-link working on these issues? Will we ever recieve a new firmware update? Appauling service.
