Issues configuring OpenVPN on VR2800
Hi,
I'm having issues with getting the OpenVPN to work on my VR2800, I've followed the instructions in the link and I seem to be having time out issues with both UDP and TCP protocols. Any idea as to how I can get this to work?
Firmware Version:0.3.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 170809 Rel.42095n
Hardware Version:Archer VR2800 v1 00000000

Hello,
For this issue, we would like to collect some information first to locate the problem and then find the best way to help you.
1. May I know the network topology and how do you want to use the VPN feature via this router? (like the router is in your home network and your remote devices want to access the server in the home network through the router)
2. Please go to advanced--status and take a screenshot of that page, then also take a screenshot of the VPN settings page.
3. Please describe the detailed issue like you still cannot access the server on the other end or you are unable to connect to the VPN.
4. May I know the firmware version of your router?
Then you can follow this FAQ to try some suggestions:

May it help and have a nice day!

Hi
Please see responses below.
- Not sure what you mean by Network topology, I have gotten VPN features to work on other modem routers before though and what I basically what I was hoping to get working is for my client device to access a server that is set up for my home network.
- Please use link Status Page and VPN Page, unsure if you need the IP and gateways but I've currently blacked them out for now.
- When trying to connect via OpenVPN on Android using the configuration files downloaded from the modem router, I keep getting a time out error from both UDP and TCP protocol.
- I updated to the latest firmware available via the website Firmware Version:0.5.0 0.9.1 v006c.0 Build 200708 Beta.53465n
Thanks!

Hi, sorry that the Status Page and VPN page can't be opened.
Can you send us the screenshot of the two pages?
When you enter the management page of the router, please go to Advanced > VPN > OpenVPN-Client Access-Internet and Home Network-save-Generate-Export to check again if it works.
When you export, please check if it is Internet IP +corresponding port. You can send us the screenshot of the configuration file to check.
Look forward to your reply.

Hi,
I've tried what you suggested and I still seem to be unable to connect. I've checked and it is definitely pointing to the correct DDNS and port but I'm still having time out issues.
I've attached images of the status page and the VPN page to this post so hopefully it sticks.
