VR2800 Wifi Issues
Hi There,
I seem to be having serious issues with a new VR2800 router I have purchased a couple of days ago.
First of all I experienced extremely slow connection speed over 5Ghz wifi (less that 1Mbps when sat within 3 meters of the router despite the router showing a connection speed of >55Mbps) this seemed to resolve itself when I disconnected all devices with the exception of a select few. I've never experienced this issue with the same devices on my previous modem/router (Archer VR2100).
Then I've found I can't log on to the 2.4Ghz wifi which seems to resolve itself for a few minutes when changing a channel or width and hitting save, but it then reverts back to rejecting log-ons after only a few minutes. Again an issue I've never experienced with my previous modem/router (Archer VR2100). This is affecting multiple devices, iPad, IPhone, Lenovo Thinkpad Yoga X1 to name just a few.
I am using the following wifi settings...
And the these are the advanced settings for both bands...
If someone could please help or confirm that is is a hardware issue it would be much appreciated.
Also tried updating to the latest firmware from here, but same issue still persists... https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/download/archer-vr2800/#Firmware
Thanks in advance
