Model: Adapter
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version:

Hi all,

I recently bought two PA9020P adapters to replace two older, lower speed, models. I used one as my main adapter without problems. But wherever i try to use the second one, the powerline led remains red and it will not pair. I've tried all the rooms, garage as well, and tried to pair it with different adapters on my network without luck. I understand a red powerline led means poor signal strength but all the other adaptors, including its sibling, work well.

How can I test if there's something wrong with the specific adaptor? Or any other idea as to what might be the problem?

Cheers

@PK12

Hello,

Did you Pair the units before you move the unit to another room?

You can try to reset them according to the following FAQ:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/320/

Here is a FAQ you can refer to PAIR them:

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1617/

You can try to change the place of 2 units, then check if both of the units are having this issue.

Did you only have one electric meter in your house?

Have a nice day!

@Solla-topee I can't pair them. I've tried every room and like I said tried the two PA9020Ps between then and the remaining PA9020P with two older adapters without luck. The light remains red.

The problem is the "network" fault. But I doubt there's an isuue with the network because every other adapter (6 in total) works fine, no red "network" lights. Yes, there's only one meter.
