BT internet, BT TV Box, Deco P9, Need more ethernet ports - suggestions, replacing 7010 and 7020P
Hello - suggestions welcome -
Background
BT Internet, Smart Hub One, BT TV box. Used to use a tp link powerline PA7010 out of BT modem/router that went to a power PA7020P to get internet from the Smart Hub to the BT TV box. Worked fine for about 4 months, and system had worked fine in prior house for a year, needed an occasional reset once a month. Now just kaput. No idea why, tried resets tried all sorts, the 7010 simply acts like it does not want to reset, all I get is a slow green/red flashing pulse out of the 7010. Nothing absolutely nothing has changed in the house. Did i say nothing? Nothing.
Bought a P9 system (I had a few deadspots in the house so thought why not), set it up, but stupid me, I thought the 7020P would work via the powerline connection as another node, but it looks like I misread the article i found in my research before buying the P9.
Problem
Suggestions needed to solve this problem - is there a model within the deco range/with powerline that has more than one ethernet socket available for devices (think BT TV box, has to be ethernet connect, and xbox, and LG web tv), that would work nice and seamlessly with the P9 without me tearing my hair out with an experience like this 7010/7020. Or can someone recommend a low cost switch that they think works seamlessly with a P9 node with no drama again.
Just to advise as most have said with smarthub on here already, I am running the P9 network in access point mode, and was hoping my 7020P would talk to it but it doesn't, unless I am missing something.
Thanks so much.
In summary, a model recommendation or switch recommendation please - unless there is a genius here who can get a 7020P powerline to talk to a p9. Thank so much.
