The time cannot be updated trough NTP servers.
Description:
I try to set the router to update automatically the date and time, unfortunately seems this process cannot be completed succesfully.
Question:
How can I identify if is a router issues or is an issue from the ISP?
More info:
The connection to my ISP is done using Dinamic IP settings.
NTP servers tested are:
- time.nist.gov
- time-nw.nist.gov
- time.windows.com
- ubuntu.ntp.com
I tried two different firmwares and I noticed that:
- on the older one (the firmware which was preinstalled on the router: 1.0.4 Build 20180425 rel.72768(4555)) the process fails with the message: Get Time From NTP Server Time Out
- on the latest firmware (fw 1.0.11 Build 20190726 rel.57101(4555)) the process seems to be stuck. No error is present on the logs.
Bellow are some values from a Ubuntu Mate envirnment to test the ntp server connections:
