Hello All

I want to configure my Archer A9 as a secondary router.

Today configuration:

modem-router from the cable company - IP: 192.168.1.1, submask: 255.255.255.0

DHCP from 192.168.1.10 to 192.168.1.255

the Archer A9 is configured as an AccessPoint, it has a fix IP: 192.168.1.5, and its DHCP disabled

They are connected with an ethernet wire (LAN)

How do i configure Archer A9 router, to run as a scondary router, with DHCP enabled?

the Archer A9 need to be wried connected to the modem-router

Thanks!

@Kvp

To configure the Archer A9 as a secondary router as DHCP enabled, you only need to hard reset it by holding the reset button/hole for 10s with it powered on.

And connect the WAN port of A9 to the LAN port of the cable modem router. The default LAN IP address of A9 is 192. 168.0.1, so there is no IP conflict between them.

Good day.

@Kevin_Z

Hello Kevin

Thanks for prompt reply

If my modem router IP is 192.168.1.1 / submask 255.255.255.0 - will it be a problem if the archer A9 IP is 192.168.0.1?

Shouldnt the IP be something like 192.168.1.x?

Thanks!
