[Solved] Fixed the issues after upgrading to firmware 1.4.0 of Deco M5
Update:
Dear all,
If you encounter an unstable connection issue, repeated new devices detected messages, disappearance of mesh technology switch for clients connected to satellite Deco or experience a really slow speed after upgrading to the 1.4.0 of Deco M5, the official firmware has fixed these issues and please update to the latest firmware via Deco APP. or web Interface.

I started having problems on my 1.3.1 build a couple of days. Slow WiFi, channel interference with neighbours WiFi, stuck on channel 36. Tried different things like a complete restart etc. But to no avail.
so I took the plung and updated to 1.4.2 but it has gotten even worse. Now that I am stuck on this firmware as unable to rollback can you provide any solutions as I technically have a useless mesh network.
i know reading through this and another thread that many other users are having similar issues.
up until a couple of days ago I had absolutely no issues having owned a pair of m5 decos for approx 6 months+
your help guidance would be greatly appreciated.

I have a Deco M5 system (not the one with usbc, by the way) and the latest firmware installed and available is the 1.3.14 Build 20191109 Ref. 66552. Why don't I see the new 1.4 firmware upgrade?

Hi, I had same issue as all my 3 M5 devices were all running 1.3.x out of the box. I could only update the master device to 1.4.2 through the normal mobile app process
Someone confirmed that update process can't happen on other devices if devices firmware is too old and only master is on 1.4.x
I succeeded to update the 2 other ones by getting each configured as being the main device of a new wifi network (created a temp network to do the upgrade and then removed the temp network and added back to real wifi network as slave device)... Once each got updated to 1.4, I could then see all devices and try updates from web UI (even though right now 1.4.2 is the latest firmware available)
hope this helps

@gatito The thing is all my decos are on 1.3.14, so the new firmware should appear as available, but that is not the case, the app says all decos are up to date, but they're not.
Anyway, it is working great as it is right now, I will leave it like that until or if the update appears for me.

@onemoar Thanks for the info, I thought 1.4 was not in beta. Maybe they pulled the update because of the issues.

@Kevin_Z I see several people on this forum getting an 1.4.4 update. Does that mean there is a new firmware being released (albeit staged)? I don't see any update yet, I'm on 1.4.2.
still experiencing it as stable but roaming is sometimes a little wonky.

Does this also solve the issue regarding the "smart DHCP" server? Because my Deco setup is running in AP mode and when I restart my router the Deco system is taking over the DHCP functionality. This results in no internet when my router has been restarted. Is it possible to disable this "smart DHCP" feature within the web GUI or the app?
