Hi,
When you login to the router interface, could you please send us a screenshot on the Advanced-->status page where there shows the Internet and LAN information?
Here is a guide about how to enable DMZ: https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/1987/
What is the device that you want to enable DMZ for?
Thanks in advance, have a nice day!

Thank you for the link to the guide, however i found that page already and gave it a try, it did not work (i 1st gave normal portforwarding a try before setting the whole PC to DMZ).
The device i want to enable DMZ for is a regular PC, i have a webserver running there (it is not a configuration issue on the PC as when i connect the datastick directly without router to it, the webserver is reachable from the internet; the firewall of the PC is configured properly).

Hi,
What is the IP address and default gateway of this PC? Below is the instruction to find them:
https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/838/
Meanwhile, in the same network, please test whether you can access it with your PC's IP address and port number;
meanwhile, you can use the WAN IP plus port number to test.
Besides, please use telnet to test:
1. in the same network, please go to run—cmd—telnet lan ip port number
2. in external network, please run—cmd—telnet wan ip port number
Note: Please show us the pictures of the test results.
Good day.

https://www.tp-link.com/en/support/faq/838/
IP 192.168.0.2
Gateway 192.168.0.1
Meanwhile, in the same network, please test whether you can access it with your PC's IP address and port number;
yes, local and from lan works fine
meanwhile, you can use the WAN IP plus port number to test.
when i enter the WAN-IP into a browser it shows the webinterface of the router. this only works in the same network as the router
if i enter the WAN-IP from an external network there is no response
Besides, please use telnet to test:
1. in the same network, please go to run—cmd—telnet lan ip port number
works fine
2. in external network, please run—cmd—telnet wan ip port number
fails
Note: Please show us the pictures of the test results.
Good day.
answers in red; added images
additional notes: portscanner showed router has beside webinterface on port 80 a listening service on port 22 (available only from LAN)
EDIT:
it seems this user has the same problem
EDIT2:
this user aswell
TL-MR3420 v3 is not port forwarding
