Model : Archer C1200

Firmware Version :

Hello,

I have just purchased an Archer C1200 TP-Link Router. The purpose of this purchase was to be able to improve my current home wifi network, thanks to the 5GHz emission of the router, indeed my box only emits in 2.5GHz.

Unfortunately, my problem is that the bandwidth that I hoped for WIFI 5GHz is not the one that is announced for this router, namely 867Mbps. Having access to the internet with fiber, I receive from my ISP an internet speed equivalent to 600Mbps (ethernet test). Unfortunately, after plugging ethernet router on my box and set a WIFI 5GHz network, my bandwidth is not more that 200Mbps .. while in ethernet direct connection on the router, I have the same speed as ethernet connection directly on my box (about 600Mbps).

The problem probably comes from the setting up of my 5GHz WIFI network via the TPlink site, but I almost sure I did it in a right way : Creation of the 5GHZ network, 80MHz bandwidth, compatibility with wifi n, g and a, choice of the automatic channel, NAT and NAT BOOST etc.
The problem does not come either from the wifi card of the machines on which I made the tests of bandwidth, since they were operated on a macbook pro 2012 Wifi 802.11n and on a windows 10 wifi 802.11ac. And in both cases, the bandwidth is the same: about 200Mbps.
I would like to understand why my WIFI does not reach the expected bandwidth.

I hope someone can help me solve my problem, I remain fully at your disposal for any technical request from you.

Cheers

William
