Problem adding more Deco M5s in the house
Model :
Hardware Version :
Firmware Version :
ISP :
Our ISP gave us a Deco M5 with Hardware Version 1.0 for free. It worked great and we decided to buy a set of 3 more so that we can actually use the mesh feature.
Upon buying the new M5s, I immediately plugged one of them and set it beside the original one. When it pulsed blue, I went to the Deco App and went through the process of adding another node to the network.
Sadly, it couldn't recognize the new M5. I looked at the new M5 and noticed it was Hardware Version 2.0.
Question: Is there a conflict when linking two M5s of different hardware versions?
I disconnect the original M5 v1 and tried to use the new M5 v2 as the main node. For some reason, my phone couldn't connect to the unit and access it. I checked my bluetooth and it was 4.2.
I have no idea what to do now as I've tried everything I could think of.
