  @YuriyB

As I mentioned earlier, the device freezes when the UART console endlessly outputs "[mt7626]kick out msg fail".
This indicates that the device is stuck in an infinite loop.

I can assume that during this time, the CPU is at 100% utilization, which causes the entire device to overheat — something it wasn’t designed to handle.

Now imagine what might happen if the router is left unattended or not rebooted for a few days in this state.

How did I figure out the issue is related to RTMP?

It was straightforward — I searched for the error message the router provided via UART on GitHub.

The search returned 83 results, all of them tied to RTMP on various devices.

Here are a few examples:

These findings strongly suggest that the issue is tied to how RTMP is handled on this firmware version.

@tapac3

The support engineer has offered you a beta firmware via email, have you found it? It's suggested to update the beta firmware and monitor if the issue can be fixed.

  @Kevin_Z After installing the beta version 1.14.3 Build 241128 Rel.61573n(4555), the router has not frozen so far.

  @tapac3 Hello, the same error also occurs with my C64, but I really don't understand the technical details about it so I cannot provide any insight. If beta FW is working for you, could you provide it to me please?

  @Alt_Bird Hi. From what I understand, the issue might be related to RTMP.

Keep in mind that I have the physical version V1 (EU) of the router.
If you have the same version, try installing the beta firmware and leave your feedback here to let us know if the issue gets resolved.

  @tapac3 After a day of normal use, there has not been any problems. Seems like this beta FW fixes the problem.

  @Kevin_Z

After testing the beta version 1.14.3 Build 241128 Rel.61573n(4555) for several days, the device has stopped freezing.

Now the question remains: when can we expect a stable, non-beta version of the firmware to be released?

Thank you very much for your valuable feedback.

This issue will be addressed in future official firmware releases, but I cannot provide an exact EAT. It's suggested to pay close attention to the new firmware releases on your router web GUI and the Tether App.

BTW, do you enable Access Control on the C64?

How about you? @Alt_Bird Do you use Access Control on your C64?
