Model: Archer MR600
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version: 1.1.0 0.9.1 v0001.0 Build 190412 Rel.66770n

Hi,

I am facing DDNS issue with my Archer MR600.

The DDNS server is providing a "wrong" address  which does not match the router address as read on the main status page of the web interface.

For example, the router web interface indicates 10.1.2.3 and the DDNS server provides 128.3.4.5 (pure example, addr values are not relevant).

I tried with both no-ip and tplink DDNS services, same results :(

Browsing the TPLink forum, it seems others have the same kind of issue.

Any exaplanation ? fix ? solution ?

Thx,

@Sunshine

Thank you, managed to get this resolved in the end :)

Three(UK provider) I had to set the APN to 3internet and not the default three.co.uk

Everything all good now

the ddns client is registering the WAN ip address (or the first public ip address). check your real public ip address -> www.whatismyip.com

@Peli

Thx for your answer.

So, according to whatisyourip.com, my public IP is : 80.215.AAA.BBB (AAA.BBB to mask the last part of the addr).

My router is registered at noip.com. When I check the addr at noip.com, I get: 80.215.CCC.DDD with AAA.BBB different to CCC.DDD.

On the web interface of my router, I read a complete different address, e.g. 10.159.76.XXX.  !!!!!

I can ping and connect to my router using this address. I CANNOT do anything with the addresses starting with 80.215....

Any way to get information re. DDNS in the log ?

What's wrong ?

This prevents me from managing my router remotely from my laptop :(

Thx

And you see this 10.159.76.XXX ip address on the router's status page at the internet connection ? If yes -> you don't have public ip address. your mobile isp is using private ips for the customers

@Peli

Hum, I see. So I should check with my ISP about the provided address and try to get a "real" public one.

Correct ?

@Hercule115

Yes

Without real public ip you can't access the router's public interface from the internet - the cloud management is working without public ip because it's using the cloud.

but if you have a server or other application which require port forward in your Lan...... the port forwarding is not working until you get the real public ip.

@Flamingtorch

Good day.

You could have a check of the internet IP address on the router;

If there is also a private IP address on your MR600, the quickest way is to contact the sim card carrier to ask for a public IP address.

Thank you very much!
