Block list does not seem to have an effect
I've tried to block you tube using the block list on the router and on the tether app but it does not seem to have any effect
What am i missing? Do I need to add something additional to make the parental control work?

According to your screenshot, we can not find the possible reason.
It is sincerely suggested to follow the two guides to set up step by step(choose one):
How to configure Parental Controls on AC VDSL/ADSL Modem Router via web interface
Setting up parental controls on TP-Link DSL modem routers via Tether APP
And some websites and apps have multiple domain names. It is necessary to add key domain names to completely disable these websites or apps.
Take Youtube as am exaple, here are the Key domain names you can put in:
youtube.com
youtubei.googleapis.com
youtube-ui.google.com
m.youtube.com
If it still does not work, please share the all the screenshots of your settings, and on which client device it does not work.
