Do I have to move the M4 when moving the modem ?
I have a DECO Mesh with 3 M4s (D1, D2, D3). D2 is ethernet wired to my modem, and D1 and D3 connect to D2 wirelessly. I call D2 the master. I need to move my modem to the D1 area. Can I just unplug D2 and wire-connected D1 without doing any reconfiguration (i.e. D1 becomes the master and D2 and D3 will wirelessly connect to D1 automatically?) If reconfiguration is needed, it is easier for me to move the modem and D2 together since D1 and d3 are wireless and just need to be unplugged from the wall socket.

Hi, thanks for posting question here.
You may refer to this guide to check how to replace the main Deco with another Deco.
For your situation, it seems much easier to move modem and Deco D2 to D1 area, then move D1 to D2 area.
