Model: Deco BE65
Hardware Version: V1
Firmware Version: 20240723 rel. 26458

When setting up the IOT network for 2.4 Ghz only devices the whole setup becomes unstable after a while.
Effect: Periodic los of all connections for several minutes when using about 20 device on this IOT network.
Looks like some limits are reached. The effect is on the whole network, 2.4 Ghz, 5Ghz, 6Ghz and MLO.

Hi, welcome to the community.

Can I have the model number of the IOT devices?

Did it improve the stability a little bit if we disable the "IOT Network" and connect the IOT devices directly to the main WiFi network/2.4GHz band?

Please also disable "Fast roaming" and "Beamforming" under Deco APP>More>Advanced.

By the way, can I have some screenshots of the Deco network map, such as:

Thank you very much and wait for your reply.

Hi David,

Thanks for the feedback, i have a variaty of ESP8266/32 OdroinN+ and raspberry PI 3B/4 im my IOT network at this moment.
I configured the IOT network only do 2.4 Ghz speedup connections and separate them from the main netwoks, this lead to this instabillity.

Eventualy i reconfigured the IOT network to handel both 2.4 and 5 Ghz and this dramaticaly improved stability, none of the networks had any issues in the last 48 hours.

So is there a limitiation on working in only on 2.4Ghz ?  And way did it impacted all the networks ?

I am a bit scared to retry, the last disturbance costed me sleep and the ocasional migrain attacks.

Is there any record on the 2.4 Ghz issues or is it maybe a bug?

Kind Regards,

Mans
