Hi all:

My home has an Archer AX20 as the router and AX23 as access point (connected to AX20 through LAN).

I understand that I can enable parental control on my AX23 when it runs in AP mode, so now i'm trying to setup parent control on AX20 to block the AX23 AP altogether on specific time period.

However, after i setup parental control rule on AX20 router to block AX23, the block doesn't seem to work -- Client devices connected to AX23 are still able to access the internet without issue.

Parent control rules setup on AX20 to block other client devices works fine however.

Does anybody know why?

How can I setup rules on AX20 to block the AX23 AP altogether?

Thanks.

  @ParentsABC

When AX23 is in AP mode you can't use its Parental Controls (details), so you are in the right path configuring this feature on your main router - AX20.

Follow this thread for Parenatal Controls not working on your AX20 and double check its configuration. Do you see the MAC addresses of devices connected to AX23 in AX20 Network Map => Clients:

Keep in mind that some devices use a randomized MAC address (details) and that could be a reason for Parenatal Controls not working.
