3.    The current problem phenomenon

Im using the NordVPN OpenVPN settings and the UI says its connected and assigns and IP but the devices that are connected to the VPN are not able to connect to the internet.

Im currently located. I have tried with both my iPhone and Macbook laptop but they were both unsuccessful to  connect. I used both the TCP and UDP .conf files that are available in the NordVPN website here https://nordvpn.com/servers/tools

Hi, maybe try another DNS. Like:

Alternative DNS via Google: 8.8.8.8 or 8.8.8.84;

Alternative DNS via OpenDNS: 208.67.222.222

Hi@StickyToepad81,

Yes, it seems that your main router does not get a public IP, so you need to set up port forwarding on the main router as well.

Please consult Service Provider for further help.

Re:VPN Server Is Not Working Properly on TP-Link Wi-Fi Routers
Yesterday

Hello Community,

hopefully there is some one who can help!?

With using a VPN connection to a German server to avoid geoblocking and watch TV I am facing the same problem.

Right now I am in India for the next two years and really hope to get a little bit of home feeling here at my new place.

I am using one TP-Link Archer AX10 - AX1500 Wi-Fi 6 Router as a "master router" + 2 TP-Link Archer C6 AC1200 for msh repeating.

Also I was suggested to use a static IP to do a VPN set up. Wifi works fine in the house and is connected to the internet.

As a VPN provider I did select NordVPN and the master router shows VPN connected after doing the manual set up with openVPN file from nord VPN.

But as soon as I do chose the clients to use the VPN connection they loose connection to the Internet.

As explained in this thread I did check:

- IP is external in Internet Status --> Screenshot below

- Nord VPN Connection is possible via browser extension on my laptop

- using NordVPN App on my I phone also works fine

- did try several different servers of Nord VPN in UDP as well as TCP configuration --> no Internet connection

- size of ovpn file is 3kb without extensive comments

Hope I did share all relevant information and there is someone out there who can help... If not please let me know... :-)

Thanks a lot... Cheers from India!

Markus
