Since TL-WR841N V13 does not support cloud control yet, so it could not reset the password through email address;

So if you forget the login password, you might need to factory reset the router;

I second that. Reseting the router to its factory settings should help.

But hopefully newer models have a link via email for that. It would make it easier if someone forgot their pw.
Can it be done without the cloud service?

I'm afraid this can only work with the cloud service. While we will keep an eye on such kind of feedback and report it to the developers, then they may evaluate if we can achieve it without linking to the cloud.
