TL-MR6400 v4 as "range extender" aka "repeater"

dear all,
I purchased this device in order to work from remote locations instead of usinig my mobile phone as wifi station.
I am very satisfied with it.
However, I was wondering if it would be possible to use it also as "range extender" also known as "repeater".
Scenario: at home I have already a DSL-modem-WIFI, its range reaches just the beginning of the garden. I would like from there to extend the WIFI to the whole garden (a small one, just 20 meters length x 10 meters wide. I would place the device at a place where it gets the signal from the DSL-modem and then "extends" it to the whole garden.
For this purpose I am already using a FRITZ-BOX 7530 BK, however I wanted also to provide additional support to it with the TL-MR6400, if possible.
I searched in the documentation and discovere that the MR6400 si proviiding a wireless router mode of operation ... and was wonderinig if I could connect it with my DSL-modem signal (or the one extended by the FRITZ-BOX 7530 BK operating as range extender).
