problems with internet access of LG TV via MR6400
problems with internet access of LG TV via MR6400
I bought new MR6400 v4 and new LG TV 50UK6470PLC.
I am using 4G connection via Tele2 provider.
I have set up router following instruction from the manual,
and it went well for all devices except TV.
Few laptops, few cell phones/tablets (android) all having normal internet access via WIFI.
TV connects to internet but cannot access i.e. LG content store,
it connects to Youtube (via LG application) but I can not choose any video and play it.
But it connects to web browser (LG application),
so I run Ookla speed test and got 30Mbps download and 0Mbps upload,
rigtht afer that I run same test on Laptop and got same 30Mbps download but 5-6Mbps upload.
I have tried WIFI and cable connection with same result.
(when I connect TV via hotspot of Samsung S7 or another router everything works fine).
Both firmwares are uptodate.
Any ideas what to do?
Thank you

The router is a TL-MR150 v1, but on the web interface it is presenting as: TL-MR6400 v4 00000001
I had some similar problems on my TCL Android TV with Netflix client. The Netflix client did not even start on TV, when connected to TL-MR6400, after a timeout it finished with NW-2-5 error. The same TV, connected to other wifi networks or hotspots, started the Netflix client without errors. My phone, connected to the wifi on TL-MR6400 worked OK. TV OS network tests on TV were done without errors. I did not check Youtube or other clients.
Starting a VPN client on Android TV before Netflix worked as a workaround.
I tried this morning to upgrade to the firmware you offered, and now the TV Netflix client is starting and working without the network error. This is enough for me to know where is the source of the problem (Router firmware). Now I want to return to the official firmware and wait the officila release of this firmware.
How to do this, if possible without factory reset? When this beta firmware version will be published as production one?
Best regards.

This is the kind of support nobody wants to have.
I have this router TL-MR6400 v4 and also encountered problems with Android TV. After I found this thread, I have upgraded to this "beta" firmware and now Android TV works but I have to reset the router every day as wireless connection is failing and clients are disconnecting.
The bug was first reported in July 2019 (in this thread, it might be earlier as there are other threads on this case), this "beta" firmware was released in April 2020, now in September 2021, this is still not fixed in official firmware.
This router is still available on the European market and I cannot believe that tp-link does not release a fixed firmware for this hardware. So anybody who buys this router now, cannot use Android TV applications? Not everyone is capable of finding and upgrading to unofficial firmware. And even after that, router becomes unstable.
I do not recommend this router to anyone who will use Android TV clients!
Also, I will never ever buy tp-link hardware again as this is the kind of support nobody wants to have.
