@e3henri I was wondering the same thing I'm very apprehensive right now about doing this update because I don't want to screw it up I really want to do it to enjoy the improvements and functionality...

@SrDarkWarrior I unpacked my box yesterday and it's a flat ethernet cable with no markings whatsoever so I have no idea if mine is cat6 or cat5e I found that odd

@cacb initially that's what I thought but then in a later post they said each unit individually has to be connected via an Ethernet cable in order to be updated and several users posted the same...

@TP-Link_Deco So it sounds like the preferred method is to use an Ethernet cable with my Windows 10 laptop computer and connect one by one to the slave Deco units first and then the main deco unit...

@TP-Link_Deco So upgrading via the tool instead of the web interface is the way to go via Ethernet connected to slave.....slave......main? Appreciate all the help here...
