So I can buy random antenna to replace it? Does the single band and dual band antenna any different? And what dbi to buy (without burning the card)

As the title, Am i able to replace it with random antenna with same physical connection? what should I need to double check if i buy random antenna. Or the adapter work well under 2 antenna too?
