The latest firmware for 702N doesn't work either with Samsung TV. Only the beta firmware works, Contact support citing this thread.

Freeze issue is not just specific to 8970, look around in these forums all TPLink routers seems to be suffering from this.

I guess this issue is with every TP Link router. My 702N and W8968 also hangs a lot.
