As jimasek asked also, camera brand and model would be nice. It's weird you cannot update FW of your present NVR. Maybe you could ask from the company where you bought it? Otherwise I would recommend...

Other way is to use p2p in Dahua NVR, does not need any port forward or dyn ip service, just that NVR has access to internet.
