yes, all clients detect it when the wifi drops out. swapped out the router with an old linksys and works normally. I think we have verified that the problem is the router.

Sorry I meant when using ethernet cable directly to the router. When I do that, I no connectivity issues. It's only when connecting via wi-fi only.
