Hi All

I am struggling to get full download speeds on my TP-LINK Archer T2UH AC600 USB adapter. Upload speeds are fine, however download speeds are currently only 20% of what it should be.

Currently experiencing only 20mbps on my 100mbps fibre line, while my laptop, iPad and Mobile phones on the same desk experience between 80-100mbps.

For some reason, Windows shows the link speed as 65mbps and never any higher.

There are no other downloads running on the PC so this is not a bandwidth issue, it seems like a driver/ config issue.

I have contacted TP-Link support twice and they would not help me, saying I need to try different drivers were all they could recommend.

I am very frustrated with this, please can someone provide some solutions.

Background information:

OS: Windows 8.1 64 bit professional
Driver: the following drivers have all been tested with no difference experienced: DVD provided driver, latest UK, USA and European, BETA and Windows drivers.
Connection: 100 MBPS Fibre line
ISP: Hyperoptic
Distance from router: 5 meters, no walls or obstructions.
Connection: 2.4 ghz channel 1
Signal Strength: 100% full signal.
Encryption: WPA2-PSK - AES

Thank you in advance.

Hello guys from TP Link
i saw you where posting any new drivers for this product but the same isue is stil for me.

i have an windows 10 home 64 bit

I was using the 5 Ghz band but with the old drivers and last drivers i can't get above the 50 mbps.
while i am using a 400 mbps internet account.

now with the driver of 16-12-21 the wifi status is connect at 150 mbps.

i can say that the driver you had temperary on the site my download was good for a while, but after the reboot it was wrong again.

Good luck with your driver i am waiting for it.

2017-11-24 01:11:48
I tried this receiver (TP-Link archer T2UH AC 600 v1) on a Windows 10 pro version 1709 latest update
desktop pc
16 Gb Memory
Core I7 CPU
USB 3.0
but here also a slow download speed.

I can't bring this product back to my store because they said i opened it already.

So TP can you please make it also windows 10 compatible.

Try these new official drivers from MediaTek (the company that makes the chip in the Archer T2UH)

Hi, could you please elaborate on how to install this? I'm having the same issues as OP. I did the install but it didn't replace the TP link driver.

@johnb_xp

i downloaded the driver but i noticed only an increase in 5mbps from 25-30

Do i need to uninstall the tp-link driver for the mediatek one to work?
