Connection Stats hangs on "Connecting"

I have the TP-Link m7350 with the latest firmware. I'm using a Vodafone SIM where the APN looks correct based on my research and the profile is recognized by default. I have 4 bars of 3G on the mifi device and the mifi device confirms my computer is connected with the (1) bubble above the icon. However, I cannot connect to the internet and the Connection Status just hangs on "Connecting" with the progress indicator never stopping. In other words, there is no failure. I have also tried rebooting the device. What can I try next?
