TL-MR3040 as bridge (Wireless & wired)

I am looking to purchase TP-LINK TL-MR3040 to use as a bridge between a wireless and a hard wired network - anyone know if this will be possible, as the previous products I have purchased although say they will run as a bridge don't actually support this function?
The problem I have is that the PC has an Ethernet port only (and I cant add wireless) and if the network goes down I would like to use a wireless (Wi-Fi) network.
I need a battery device, as I don't have access to power in the location of the PC.
