Yes, you can connect Archer VR1600v to a modem and set VR1600v as wireless router mode.
I am not sure whether I am understand totally. As there are lan ports on VR1600v, you can connect wired client devices to the router via LAN/Ethernet cable.

Dear Marvin, thank you for the reply. I am not sure If understand correctly. Your answer means that it is possible to connect the VR600V to the fibre net modem.
As you said as wireless Router. Does this mean I can´t use the LAN connections as I currently use for my PC, TV etc.?
