Hi,
I have been running the beta for the past few days and it has been completely stable for me. I have successfully managed to change my 5ghz to the less congested upper DFS channels (100 in my case) and it has stayed there. I have not tried Wireguard.
I did have a couple of issues/bugs though:
- When installing, my custom WAN DNS IPs disappeared and as such I got the "no internet" error. It is an easy fix to repopulate.
- I have my 2.4ghz band disabled on my main network and as such cannot change the channel for IoT network.
- Further to point 2., if you go to change the main network to both 2.4/5ghz bands but don't click Save then try to change the channel for 2.4ghz then either the Deco App hangs or just doesn't save it. You first need to save the bands then you can go back in and change the channel. Then go back and disable the 2.4ghz band and it does stick with your choice.
Happy to explain any points in more detail.
Thanks,
Rowan.

Hi, Thanks for the update, and I also received your email reply.
It is also suggested to test the newly uploaded 1.1.0_build_20250120 version which should be an updated version than build_20241230.
By the way, currently, the Channel selection feature only works for the Main WiFi network, and the IOT Network hasn't been included yet.
Thank you very much and best regards.

Hi @David-TP
thank you for the new link of beta version.
Did hou have a release not to know what is fix on this update ?
I have always the WAN port speed issue and I have a new mistake who say "DECO has temporarily changed your WiFi Channel width from 5Ghz to 80 MHz "
did your know why ?
I will update the new bêta version as soon as possible.

I have installed the new 2025 beta firmware and I am sad to see that none of my bugs have been fixed.
Always the warning with the WAN port which is slow.
And also the flow test that still does not reach the maximum speed.

Hi David,
Thanks for the pointer, I'll try the updated version now.
I'm aware the channel selection feature is only currently intended for the main network but still think my bug is relevant as it stops you from changing the channel for the main network. Even if this is just a visual bug with the app.
Thanks again,
Rowan.
