I am after a 4G/5G router for a property that has little to no internal LTE signal but has signal outside in certain areas (one conveniently being the outside wall where the router will be located) so I need aeans to get a WiFi network inside the property. Hardline isn't an issue due to it's location and no phone line/fibre. I spoke to the bot and it said the MR600 V3 has external LTE antenna so I play to purchase high gain antenna with longer cables to connect to the back of the router. My question is will that work? Are both antenna for LTE or is one for WiFi or are theyoxed use? Is this just a modem and router with no WiFi built in? The webpage seems to suggest this is a WiFi product. 

 

WiFi coverage isn't a worry, we only need WiFi in the same room as the router, it is just the LTE antenna that needs to be outside.

Archer MR600 is 4G+ Cat6 AC1200 Wireless Dual Band Gigabit Router, so it provides wireless function. It can work as 4G/3G router mode or wireless router mode.

And the two external antennas are 4G LTE antennas, designed specifically for receiving 4G signals from the Internet Service Provider (ISP) via the SIM card. In general, it is not recommended to replace these antennas because they serve as auxiliary components, and the strength of the 4G signals primarily depends on the SIM card and ISP.

  @Marvin_S thanks for the reply. I'm confused because the SIM is reliant on the antenna for signal. There is no signal indoors but there is outdoors so placing the antenna outside will have a better chance than inside, the SIM could be anywhere as it can't get signal on its own. 

 

Is there another model that you recommend that I can use for this situation if you say this isn't suitable?
