Model: Deco X60
Hardware Version: V3
Firmware Version: 1.3.0

I’m using a Deco X60 v3.20. Since the app update, my HomeShield subscription keeps getting deactivated. I select “Apply to existing Deco” and it works for 30 minutes to an hour before disconnecting again. When I reset my Decos, I can never perform a clean setup because my existing account automatically applies the old settings.

Another issue is that I bought the v3.20 AX5400 model, but both devices show up as v3.00 in the app and the web UI. Additionally, network optimization and automatic channel selection don’t seem to work. I’m confused as to how even cheaper routers and mesh systems have an automatic channel selection feature, but the Deco X60 doesn’t.

That being said, I’m quite happy with the mesh performance overall, but these issues are a bit frustrating.

Hi, welcome to our community.

May I confirm the current version of your Deco app? It is suggeseted to share the Deco app log using the email address you registered on the community follow this thread.

Sorry that the hardware version confuses you. Please refer to the information on the APP.

And may I confirm how you find network optimization and automatic channel selection do not work on Deco X60?

@Marvin_S sorry i didnt know that and just sent mail as it shows on thread. Thank you so much. App version is 3.8.129. The network optimization i mean auto channel choose. In this way i have to go to network optimization to change channels but some other routers and mesh systems choosing channel automatically all the time.

@Marvin_S I dont wanna steal your time but i have one more question. I have a Zyxel DX3300-T1 Wi-Fi 6 VDSL2 modem provided by my ISP. I live in an apartment, and fiber optic internet comes to the building, but VDSL is used from the building’s distribution box to my apartment(FTTB). I can set the ISP modem to bridge mode, and they also share the PPPoE username and password with me. I live in Turkey, and my ISP is Türk Telekom.Which setup do you recommend me?

Network Setup Options:

1. Option 1:

Modem: In standard mode, Wi-Fi enabled.

Deco: In Access Point mode.

• The modem and Deco use the same SSID and password.

2. Option 2:

Modem: In bridge mode, Wi-Fi disabled.

Deco: In Router mode, with PPPoE connection.

3. Option 3:

Modem: In standard mode, Wi-Fi disabled.

Deco: In Router mode, with Dynamic IP configuration.

4. Option 4:

Modem: In standard mode, Wi-Fi disabled.

Deco: In Access Point mode.

Hi, it is hard to tell which one is the best. You may refer to this guide to know about the difference between AP mode and wireless router mode on Deco, as some advanced features can not be achieved under AP mode. BTW, even you use same SSID and password, they are still two networks between modem and Deco.
