Hi, 

 

   I have setup the Deco M5 at my home (2 units with one main). There are two things that gets reset after sometime, it happened almost 10 times till now in a span of 8 days.

 

  1. Wifi Network SSID gets reset to TP-link.
  2. The Wifi band gets reset to 5 GHz, even though I set it for both 2.4 G and 5G.

 

I have a many devices which still work on 2.4 G (like a cleaning/mopping robot and a printer). It is always painfull to enable it back again which is again reset automatically to 5 Ghz. If this happens while the robot is cleaning, the robot as well is starting to clean from the beginning. 

 

Also there are a lot of TP-Link's in my apartment and it gets confusing to choose the Wifi to add a new device.

 

Can you please tell me, how do I stop the deco from resetting the Wifi Settings ?

  @Marvin_S I was suggested by Customer Care partner to switch the Main Deco unit with the slave unit. I have reset both the Deco units and switched the Main Deco unit with the other one. After this the problem is resolved and Deco is working fine now. 

 

The only difference between the first time setup and this switch is only that, when I am doing it the first time, the customer care partner made me to connect the Deco using the Bar code on Deco instead of the Deco showing up on the App. The Deco tool long time to switch from the Pale Yellow color to the Blinking Blue, so customer partner made me use the Bar code. Other than this there was no difference when setting up the first time and last time.
