Model: Deco X50-5G
Hardware Version:
Firmware Version:

Hello,

So I live in a rural area,

I have a tplink x50-5g with ISP of EE 5g. This connects to the current mesh network which is a tp link Deco E4R (3 towers)

I run a smart tv in the playroom and in the living room. Both smart tvs are recieving internet and i am able to watch youtube, prime, now. However only the playroom has netflix and the living allows me to load netflix and engage with the app but not load the content - i get no error message.

When i spoke to Netflix they say they cant see the tv connected to the internet. I hotspot my phone which is also ee directly to the tv in the living room and netflix works.

I have a tower by the tv in the living and have tried cat 6 and wifi and have same problem.

TV firmware up to date. app up to date. all decos have the latest firmware too.

i have tried to make a IOT network and i still have same issue. I hve beamforwarding off. i have also switched to ipv4 and use 8.8.8.8 and 8.8.4.4 and still the problem persists.

i cant use AP mode it would make the x50 redundunt in operation of being a mesh tower.

also have no vpn or any advance features set up etc.

What is annoying is it worked a few weeks back.

Any ideas?

Cheers

Hi, Thank you very much for your time and patience.

Were you still having the reported issue here?

Have you tried to swap the SIM card on the Deco X50-5G  with the one on the mobile phone to see whether it made any difference?

It is also suggestioned to delect and install Netflix APP on the Living room smart TV once, then restart the TV to see whether it helps.

By the way, would there be any error message when the Living room smart TV failed to load Netflix?

Best regards.
